“Your Great Name”

“Oh my God!”

I wonder how many times that was said on Wednesday, April 27, as tornadoes swirled overhead.

There’s something about a name. People call on the Lord even when they don’t realize what they’re saying.

But consciously speaking the name of Jesus gives strength to a believer.
Try it.
Sing along with this beautiful worship song to the great name of Jesus...

Your Great Name
Natalie Grant
LYRICS

Verse 1:
Lost are saved, find their way at the sound of Your great name
All condemned feel no shame at the sound of Your great name
Every fear has no place at the sound of Your great name
The enemy he has to leave at the sound of Your great name

CHORUS:
Jesus, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain for us, Son of God and man
You are high and lifted up and all the world will praise Your great name

Verse 2:
All the weak find their strength at the sound of Your great name
Hungry souls receive grace at the sound of Your great name
The fatherless find their rest at the sound of Your great name
The sick are healed, the dead are raised at the sound of Your great name

CHORUS

Bridge:
Redeemer, My Healer, Lord Almighty
Defender, my Savior, You are my King
(Repeat)

CHORUS

Sing the name of Jesus
We worship the name of Jesus
We bow before Jesus
There is no other name Jesus

CHORUS

I feel terrible that I didn't realize that you lived in Alabama. We had rough weather around here (one of my sons' cars had a back window knocked out from the hail) along with some tornadoes, but nothing like y'all got down there. We just aren't used to that kind of weather. The insurance adjustor said he volunteered to go to Atlanta, but when they said there were 3600 car claims here, he came here instead.
Praise God that you and your family are okay; prayers going out to those who lost homes & family members.

Praising God that your family is okay after those horrible storms and prayers continue to be many here in Canada for all of those affected! This is one of my favorite songs! Thanks for posting!

Mary,
That definitely was a crazy weather day that I’ll never forget. My family was spared but so many had horrible damage. Stories abound. Every day I hear more that make me cry. Thanks for your prayers.

A Mom After God's Own Heart,
I’m glad you like this song too. It caught my heart from the first time I heard it. Thanks for the Canadian prayers for us down here. Isn’t it wonderful that the internet connects us all to each other and for each other to God?

Sometimes I find myself just speaking His name out loud. When I don't know what to do ...I speak His name and find comfort. What a beautiful song!

Blessings and love,
Debbie
