Lisa Notes: It is finished

This phrase—“It is finished”—keeps resurfacing for me. (I’m caught up / At the Cross) It’s a theme I can’t tire of.

Once and for all, Christ completed the work.
What peace that should give us!

There’s nothing more we can add, or should add, or are able to add to what Jesus already did. It’s done.

Accept it. Receive it. Rejoice in it!

Oh Yes YEs YES maam....I am SO glad it is finished...Now just to slay those little roaming puffs of smoke that rise up every once in a while, saying you SHOULD be doing MORE of this or MORE of that to keep God's pleasure in you....oh Satan knows how to push buttons and create such lies about God's unchanging love for us for who we are in His precious Son Christ. To think that someone would try to make me think there is something more I need to add to the ultimate sacrifice that Jesus made... grrr...It is Finished... beautiful words. Hugs to you Lisa!!!!! I dealt with those puffs of smoke for years in my early Christian walk. Fanned them into flames myself on many occasion.

But I'm so thankful that they're as empty as the tomb. It helps me now to have friends like you who are such firm believers in salvation by grace, the only Way! Thanks, Julie. Hope you have a blessed weekend too!
