Call me slow.
I’ve never thought about the ‘lama’ part in the Dalai Lama. So it’s my word of the week, taken from a cute little poem Jenna and I read yesterday.
lama

Definition—a Buddhist monk of Tibet or Mongolia
THE LAMA
Ogden Nash
The one-l lama,
He’s a priest.
The two-l llama,
He’s a beast.

I didn't know the meaning of the word - I always thought it was part of the Dalai Lama's title. You taught me something today! Thanks for participating.
I love that cute little poem. I'd actually forgotten about Ogden Nash's poems. You've inspired me to find some.
There is a Buddist retreat not that far from here that opens their location for events. I've not been, but I heard it is a great place. I am not sure what the title of their leader is though. :)
