I listen to the older man tell me, “Guard the truth.”
I hear God say it, too.
I listen to my young niece say, “Stay relevant; be authentic.”
I hear God say it, too.
I listen to my peer encourage me, “Don’t give up.”
I hear God say it, too.
I listen to another sister sympathize, “My heart hurts with you.”
I hear God say it, too.
I listen to the author write, “Use your uniqueness to make a big deal out of God.”
I hear God say it, too.
I listen to my friend’s e-mail, “Focus on the words and Jesus.”
I hear God say it, too.
I listen to a Blood-brother say, “Fasting is difficult, but there’s much to be thankful for.”
I hear God say it, too.
I listen to a blogger comment, “God will provide the strength when you need it.”
I hear God say it, too.
I listen to my husband whisper, “I’m madly in love with you.”
I hear God say it, too.
Sometimes,
when I listen to you
carefully enough, and
openly enough, and
discerningly enough,
I hear God say it, too.

Do you hear Him through others, too?

What a creative post! And profound. Thank you.

choosing to hear him must be the same as choosing to see him, in teh child, the drunk, the poor, the wealthy, the sinner, the saint. yes?
i love this post so very much.
What a beautiful way to listen to the people around you. Hearing God in every word.
I have been keeping up with your family and have been praying for your mom. Peace and comfort to you, Lisa.
Wow, this is so beautiful. Thank you for this, I find it really hard to listen to people, it's like, I know I'm loved but I don't believe it.
What an encouraging post.
I know this! So true, so true...beautiful.
Yes...I always try and listen to God speaking, through others and really any and everything. Great post!
Thanks so very much for coming by today. You blessed me.
So good to know you via blogger!
Thanks for the encouragement to listen to God's words from the people around us.
