In my continuing quest to seek God’s glory over my safety, I read this today in One in a Million by Priscilla Shirer:
He’s not above using the wilderness when He knows we need it, when it’s part of His purpose for how He desires to grow us and use us.
But He’s not One to sling us into tight situations just for fun. Nor is it just a matter of time before our number comes up.
Can we trust God to sort through the circumstances in our lives, and give us just the right ones, ones that will help fulfill His purposes and most transform us into His image?
Yes.
Bottom line, you needn’t be terrified of God, always wondering when or how He’s going to allow a season of trouble.
Neither, on the other hand, should you be terrified of tragedy, as though you could never endure it.
Whatever He allows, He will equip you to handle.
With His armor. And His strength. And His purpose.
Be alert to God in your life. Live in awe, not fear. He’s with you. Everywhere!
Haven't I commanded you?
Strength! Courage! Don't be timid;
don't get discouraged.
GOD, your God, is with you every step you take.
Joshua 1:9 (MSG)

I see that you have a new background--I like it. I'll try not to hijack it this time for my blog.
Ha. Thanks, Denise. Feel free to hijack whatever you want. ;-) Maybe this background won't just disappear one day.
"Whatever He allows, He will equip you to handle." Such a good reminder in the ups and downs of life.
Even though I don't comment often, I am regularly encouraged by your thoughts--Thank you!
