“Savior, Please”—Then Sings My Soul Saturdays

Then Sings My Soul Saturday I was first saved years ago.

But I continue to need saving every day.

It’s easy for me to slip into “hang tough.” Be strong; self-disciplined; do what’s gotta be done.

Nice goals. But on my own? It’s not happening.
It has to be by His Spirit.

I often forget all the power that He’s already supplied me with.
Saving power. I don’t have to be strong on my own. Ever.

This song spoke to me this week in a moment of failure at my own definition of “be strong.” But success isn’t found in my strength; it’s in my dependence on Him. I’m at His mercy for my rescue. Every day.

That’s where I want to be. That’s where I need to be.

Everything You are to me
Is everything I'll ever need
And I am learning to believe
That I don't have to prove a thing
'Cause You're the one who's saving me

Hallelujah!

 Savior, Please
Josh Wilson
LYRICS

Savior, please take my hand
I work so hard, I live so fast
This life begins, and then it ends
And I do the best that I can, but I don't know how long I'll last

CHORUS:
I try to be so tough
But I'm just not strong enough
I can't do this alone, God I need You to hold on to me
I try to be good enough
But I'm nothing without Your love
Savior, please keep saving me

Savior, please help me stand
I fall so hard, I fade so fast
Will You begin right where I end
And be the God of all I am because You're all that I have

CHORUS

Hallelujah
Everything You are to me
Is everything I'll ever need
And I am learning to believe
That I don't have to prove a thing
'Cause You're the one who's saving me

CHORUS

How often I lapse back into depending on my own strength. But I learn very quickly. This song reminds me to depend on His strenght. Thank you for posting this one Lisa.

Blessings and love,
Debbie
