…at His feet

Sometimes He asks us to do easy things.

Eat lunch with an old friend. Learn a new song of worship. Spend more time with a sweet spouse. at Your feet

But other times, not so easy.

Lately, not so easy.

So what do we do?
Do it anyway. And remind ourselves that the hard things are good things, too. And right things. Even if they sometimes feel like wrong things.

I don’t like choices I’m having to make for other people who can’t make choices for themselves. But I know they’re good choices and I pray that they’re godly choices.

And then?
I have to lay them down

…at His feet.

And I linger there, with Him,
   for His comfort
   and His assurance
   and His peace

…at His feet.

Look for me there. That’s where I’ll be.

At Your Feet
Casting Crowns
Lyrics

Here at Your feet, I lay my past down
My wanderings, all my mistakes down
And I am free

Here at Your feet, I lay this day down
Not in my strength, but in Yours I’ve found
All I need, You’re all I need

CHORUS:
Jesus, Jesus, at Your feet
Oh, to dwell and never leave
Jesus, Jesus, at Your feet
There is nowhere else for me
There is nowhere else for me

Here at Your feet, I lay my future down
All of my dreams, I give to You now
And I find peace, I find peace

CHORUS

Here at Your feet, I lay my life down
For You my King, You’re all I want now
And my soul sings…

CHORUS

‘Cause I am free (here at Your feet)
All I need (is at Your feet)
I find peace
We’re at Your feet
We’re at Your feet

And I am free (here at Your feet)
All I need (is at Your feet)
I find peace
We’re at Your feet
We’re at Your feet
We’re at Your feet
We’re at Your feet

Here at Your feet
I lay my life down

Lisa, I was just talking to my sister last night about my parents (they're in their 80's) about what wer're going to do and when and how. I was in tears. It's hard. I find inspiration here. I haven't yet had to deal with all you have in this area, it's just beginning for me. It helps me to find wisdom from someone who has walked this road before. It's hard, very hard. Another blog friend reminded today in her post that, "the cross came before the ressurrection." What hope!

Stephani,
Yes, it is hard. But thankfully we only have to get through one day at a time. Look for the manna in that day. Praying for us both!
Lisa
