Coffee companion—Corner View

I’m not a coffee drinker. I’ve never been in a Starbucks. And I sit at Joe Muggs Coffee only for the wi-fi. coffee pot

At home, unless coffee-drinking company is visiting, or Jeff has a rare hankering for a cup, our coffee pot stays shoved back in the dark cave of the cabinet.

Kind of like me.

Well, maybe like I could be if given the opportunity. I’m not a socialite. Sometimes I think I’d make a semi-decent, part-time monk. I don’t mind being alone. When I go too long without solitude, I literally crave it.

But I do need people.
And hopefully some people need me.

So while I won’t drink coffee with you, I will drink hot chocolate.
And we can still stay warm together.

Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil.
10  For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow.…

11  Again, if two lie together, they keep warm,
but how can one keep warm alone?
12  And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him--a threefold cord is not quickly broken.

Ecclesiastes 4:9-12

Wow. Someone else who isn't a coffee drinker! Although I guess on the spectrum of "not a coffee drinker", I am a little to the right of you, as I will drink it socially every now and then (like < once a month). Black, no cream, no sugar. I only get hot chocolate or peppermint hot chocolate at Starbucks. And the togetherness of sharing a warm cup of something with a friend is priceless. :D

I wasn't a coffee drinker up till the last couple of years, but don't make it at home. I would be happy to share a cup of hot chocolate or ice tea with you. smile... xo

I've never been to Starbucks either, not my cup of ... tea:)? I don't mind solitude, in fact I love it when I get it (hardly ever).

I love that scripture.
And I like being alone too but with kids that's sometimes hard.

Well, I need you! -- and would be happy to treat you to a cup of hot chocolate at a Starbucks anytime you're ready to cross that threshold and give it a try! ;-)

i'm not a coffee drinker either, but i love the small (except for folgers, it smells like burnt doo-doo, hate to say that but it's yucky) how can (most) coffee smell so good but not taste good? but starbucks and joe muggs and the like have drinks that they throw a bunch of sugar in so it's tolerable, similar thing with pipe tobacco, i loathe cigarette smoke but somehow a pipe smells great, how can something that smells so good be bad for you?
