Believe the invisible

Learned last week:
17  For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison,
18  as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.

2 Corinthians 4:17-18 invisible man

Sometimes the stress doesn’t feel very light. Or momentary.

Don’t believe it. It is anyway.

Making decisions for my mom right now is tough. I’m troubled by it. And it’s a pressure that feels like it’s going to be with me a long time.

Yet, it’s not.

Whatever afflictions you and I are experiencing now will fade away.
But before they do, they have a great work to do.
They’re getting us ready for better things.
Glorious things.
Things we can’t even imagine, and definitely can’t see.

Cling to the unseen things when times are tough.
Don’t believe what you see; believe what you can’t see.

It’s the invisible things that will last forever.

Lisa, I know that the trials I've been going through are teaching me so much. I'm learning that God is sufficient for all my needs. And as I'm praying the names of God, with El Shadday ...all things are possible.

Blessings and love,
Debbie

What great words of encouragement Lisa! It is so easy to put our focus on what is seen. Life is tough!

But you are so right when you said: "Whatever afflictions you and I are experiencing now will fade away. But before they do, they have a great work to do. They’re getting us ready for better things. Glorious things. Things we can’t even imagine, and definitely can’t see."

Amen! Such encouraging words!
