In any order. Psalm 62 – Memory Monday

More Memory Monday

Reviewed last week:
Of all the Fighter Verses that Jenna and I have memorized so far, these have been the hardest for me to get right.

For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence, for my hope is from him.
He only is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be shaken.
On God rests my salvation and my glory; my mighty rock, my refuge is God.
Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before him; God is a refuge for us.
Psalm 62:5-8

It contains duplicate words in different orders:
rock 2x, salvation 2x, refuge 2x, God 4x.

  • …God is my rock and my salvation
  • …On God rests my salvation
  • …My mighty rock, my refuge is God
  • …God is a refuge for us

For God…On God…is God…God is.

It’s safe to say, then, that no matter how you parse it, mismatched socksHE IS
He is our
rock and our
salvation and our
refuge.

Say it in whatever order you can.
Even if it’s mismatched.
Just say it.

Because it works.
Because He works.
Because HE IS.

He gets it right.
Every time.

Learning this week:
Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of your name; deliver us, and atone for our sins, for your name's sake!
Psalm 79:9

Awesome post! HE IS! And it's a great reminder that He gets it right every single time!

Hope you have a wonderful week!

Your discipline with scripture memory is encouraging to me to keep trying at my own work. Thanks for sharing your journey.
