Lamentations 3:21-24 – Memory Monday

Learned last week:More Memory Monday
But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope:
      The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end;
they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
“The LORD is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in him.”

Lamentations 3:21-24

I’m thankful that the Lord is not like me.

Sometimes I feel I use up all my “nice words” early in a day, and I’m done. Finished. Nothing left to give.

But the Lord’s kindness not only starts new every morning, it continues all day and night. He never says to me, “I’ve done all I’m going to do for you. You’re on your own now. Good luck.”

Instead, his tender mercies exceed all boundaries. Every day. I can count on that as sure as the Son comes up.

And what does he ask of me in return? To keep on hoping. Believe that he will provide, that he is enough.

*I* don’t have to provide; *I* don’t have to be enough. I simply have to believe that he is.

I love these scriptures that remind me of that. I’ve enjoyed reciting them last week, and I look forward to adding four more Fighter Verses to them this week.

Learning this week:
The LORD is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him.
It is good that one should wait quietly for the salvation of the LORD.
. . . For the Lord will not cast off forever, but, though he cause grief, he will have compassion according to the abundance of his steadfast love.
Lamentations 3:25-26, 31-32

You said: "*I* don't have to be enough. I simply have to believe that He is."

I needed to hear that this morning.

Hope you have a great week!
