I'm all into memorizing Scripture. I can't tell you how many times God's Word would come back to me just when I needed it most. How like our God, right? I will check out the link you suggested for more info.

Yes, Debbie, I love how God does that--he knows what words we need to hear and when. We can plant them but he makes them grow! Happy New Year to you too.

I just registered. I am going to try this. I have never been good at memorizing scripture. I am great at paraphrasing and knowing where it is to find it.

Yay! I'm not good at memorizing either; I have to review things a million times. But I do eventually get it (all's grace!) and it makes it all worthwhile. I'm sure you'll do better than you think, especially if you're already good at paraphrasing and locating things. It'll be fun having you as a part of us!

Is there a sweeter word than Jesus? My heart took a big breath when I read "waking up to Jesus." I can't wat to see what God does thrugh you as you "walk up to Him."

I think you'll like Barbara Brown Taylor's book, Pamela. I had checked it out from the library a few weeks ago, but since ordered my own copy because I want to refer to it all year for monthly resolutions.
