Big Daddy Weave was one of the bands in the free concert in Orlando Friday night, sponsored by the Florida Hospital College of Health Sciences.
Not only did they put on an entertaining show, but more importantly, they made sure it was a night of worship.
“What Life Would Be Like” is one of my favorites.
I wonder...
You, too?
What Life Would Be Like
Big Daddy Weave
LYRICS
I wish I was more of a man
Have you ever felt that way
And if I had to tell you the truth
I’m afraid I’d have to say
That after all I’ve done and failed to do
I feel like less than I was meant to be
What if I could fix myself
Maybe then I could get free
I could try to be somebody else
Who’s much better off than me
But I need to remember this
That it’s when I’m at my weakest
I can clearly see
CHORUS:
He made the lame walk and the dumb talk
He opened blinded eyes to see
That the sun rises on His time
Yet He knows our deepest desperate need
And the world waits while His heart aches
To realize the dream
I wonder what life would be like if we let Jesus life thru you and me
What if you could see yourself thru another pair of eyes
What if you could hear the truth
Instead of old familiar lies
What if you could feel inside
The power of the hand that made the universe You’d realize
All our hearts they burn within us
All our lives we’ve longed for more
So let us lay our lives
Before the one who gave His life for us
CHORUS

Wonderful song and group.
They sound great. Thanks for posting the lyrics as well. I love it when learning institutions do things like sponsor a good concert.
Thank you for sharing with us, Lisa. Rather thought provoking, yes?
"I wonder what life would be like if we let Jesus live through you and me?" - I wonder.. it would be a much different world. I love this song, thanks for sharing!
Oh, we are big fans of Big Daddy Weave! A couple of years ago we saw them at a small venue where we had the chance to meet the band. Mike was SO nice and down-to-earth, and I was thrilled to have the chance to tell him how God has ministered to me through his music.
This year we had tickets to one of their concerts in the fall, and it was cancelled at the last minute. I'm glad you enjoyed their show!
I have gone back and forth, back and forth, debating whether or not to even leave this comment. I so don't want it to sound like self-promotion, so please, if you think it's inappropriate, please delete it!
I saw your post in my reader (which I'm shamefully behind on!) and was blessed by the worship you wrote about. I started a link up a few weeks ago based on Ephesians 5:19-20 ... sharing Truth and worship that God has put on our hearts that we might encourage one another. I hope you'll stop by and share what you've written. I'm sure it will bless others.
God Bless!
Erika
