What I’m memorizing:
...give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with the food that is needful for me,
lest I be full and deny you and say, “Who is the LORD?” or lest I be poor and steal and profane the name of my God.
Proverbs 30:8-9
Do you ever question God’s measurements? Do you ever wonder if he really knows the perfect fit for you?
The perfect fit of blessings
The perfect fit of trials
The perfect fit of timings
Sometimes I think he may give me more than I can bear—in good things and/or in bad things.
But, no (1 Corinthians 10:13). He doesn’t.
He never gives too little to deprive me
nor does he ever give too much to turn me away.
He gives the perfect amount that should lead me to honor his name and depend on his strength.
Lord,
I want to be content with your perfect measurements. Don’t make me too rich or too poor in anything, if either would lead me away from you. May I be grateful for your perfect fit for me.

Sometimes I think I can't bear anymore and then I remember Whose I am!
Sometimes he really DOES take us to the very BRINK of goodness! I will never forget one day a few months ago -- our church is in the season of Ablaze. At the end of every service we say Come, Holy Spirit! Set our hearts ablaze! Well, I take that little prayer VERY seriously - and I was really ASKING Him to do that! DEEPLY asking. And then... one day He DID! Oh my gosh! I couldn't HANDLE it! I thought I was truly going to EXPLODE with love and praise for Him! It was THE single most AMAZING 4 hours I've ever had! And I finally told Him He had to stop - because I COULD NOT take it! Other people have since described it to me as having their cup filled. I thought that was a good definition to. He filled me until ONE MORE DROP would have spilled over! What an AWESOME God we have! He definitely knows EXACTLY how much is enough, and how much would be TOO MUCH.
Thanks for stopping by today!
