I confess I have a horrible eye for architecture. I just don’t notice details in structures like many do.
So here’s what I see when I look at your house. Forgive me if you spent lots of money making it look totally awesome; I still basically see this.
So for this week’s Corner View on “typical architecture” I’m showing you what I do notice instead:
the architectural design of other typical structures in my backyard.
I love the bones of trees! And the shapes of leaves and the smell and color of blooms, which are right around the corner! I imagine them lifting their arms to praise their Creator, with roots deeply drinking of His nourishment, limbs pointing to Heaven to soak up the Son.
For you shall go out in joy and be led forth in peace;
the mountains and the hills before you
shall break forth into singing,
and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.
Isaiah 55:12
Let the field exult, and everything in it!
Then shall all the trees of the forest sing for joy.
Psalm 96:12
