“The Desert Song” – Then Sings My Soul Saturday

Then Sings My Soul Saturday 1. It’s a prayer.
2. It’s every season.
3. It’s worship.

And I love it.

The Desert Song
LYRICS

Verse 1:
This is my prayer in the desert
When all that's within me feels dry
This is my prayer in my hunger and need
My God is the God who provides

Verse 2:
And this is my prayer in the fire
In weakness or trial or pain
There is a faith proved
Of more worth than gold
So refine me Lord through the flame

Chorus:
And I will bring praise
I will bring praise
No weapon formed against me shall remain

I will rejoice
I will declare
God is my victory and He is here

Verse 3:
And this is my prayer in the battle
And triumph is still on its way
I am a conqueror and co-heir with Christ
So firm on His promise I'll stand

Bridge:
All of my life
In every season
You are still God
I have a reason to sing
I have a reason to worship

Verse 4:
This is my prayer in the harvest
When favor and providence flow
I know I'm filled to be emptied again
The seed I've received I will sow

Thank you for the Desert Song, prayer of my heart, for every season (so right)! I love this worship.

Before visiting here, I was preparing my Sun. post & some of these lyrics came to me but not from singing this song, but in my heart & spirit. I wrote them as I received for tomorrow (but I think I stopped the flow...and there was more). I wish it was as beautiful and as much as this Hillsong favorite of mine. Feeling like I'm being refined...but that's OK since I know who stands there beside me!

I was so busy reading on your Bible Studies, I almost forgot to comment. I wish I would have caught your studies before the end of them. But no more problem with that (I hope) cuz I added you in my Google Reader! Thanks Lisa for great words (and on contentment also)! Be blessed as you have blessed me. EnJOY a wonderful weekend & TSMSS!

I'm a day late in visiting your TSMSS but I'm so glad I stopped by. The words to this song helped me. It's amazing how music can minister to our souls. Thank you for sharing this one. It was a new one for me.
