Last Week:
...for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me,
declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times things not yet done, saying, “My counsel shall stand, and I will accomplish all that I my purpose,
bringing calling a bird of prey from the east, the man of my counsel from a far country. I have spoken, and I will ???? bring it to pass; I have purposed, and I will do it.
Isaiah 46:9b-11
It’s Memory Monday (see more verses and a cute video at The Simple Wife). Jenna and I worked on these last week. She had them down after Day 2; I’m still working. (My brain is just more full? Yeah, that’s it.)
What does it mean to me?
God is IT. I’m glad he is like he is, and that none can duplicate him. What he says, goes. He knows all; he sees all; he is all. Past, present, future.
He can use anybody, anywhere, that he wishes; his purposes will be fulfilled.
Bird of Prey
The ‘bird of prey’ was supposedly Cyrus the Great of Persia, ~500 BC. Even this pagan king helped fulfill God’s purposes by supporting the return of Jewish captives to Jerusalem to rebuild their temple to Yahweh.
So I should believe that Yahweh can definitely accomplish his purposes in my life, right?
And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.
Philippians 1:6b
This Week:
From of old no one has heard or perceived by the ear, no eye has seen a God besides you, who acts for those who wait for him.
Isaiah 64:4

Way to go! (And, yes, as a mom your brain is definitely more full.)
I agree with you and Joanne - as moms our brains are probably more full! :) Thanks for the additional information you shared with us on your verse. As I read your verse for this week, the phrase that really stands out to me is when it says, "...who acts for those who wait for him." Wow - isn't that awesome? We just saw God act this evening on something I have been praying about and waiting on. Praise His Name. How awesome is that timing of that news and then me reading that verse on your post? Too cool! Thanks for stopping by my blog and commenting!
Hope you have a great week!
