If we’ve worked hard at following the rules, then something bad happens to us anyway, we get mad—because we were good! And is this how God repays us? As if we’ve put God into our debt.
Good performances don’t carry guarantees. Our only guarantee comes from trusting the Lord (Eph 2:8-9). And it’s free.
Not rules. It’s relationship. Know Jesus.
