Proverbs 5:15Drink water from your own cistern, flowing water from your own well.
God gives us everything we need (2 Peter 1:3 NIV). For life. For godliness.
So why do we sometimes go searching outside of his boundaries to quench our thirst or satisfy our hunger? Do we find his provisions to be lacking? If we cave in to temptation to “drink water” from a cistern not our own, how fulfilling is it in the long run?
Are we looking for something beyond even life and godliness?
