He pours in; we pour out

pour outWhat I’m memorizing:
And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.
2 Corinthians 9:8

He starts it.

He pours out an excessive amount of grace on us.
Then we take it and pour it out on others.

That encourages me. It means we don’t have to come up with the gifts to give away. He does. He provides them; he begins the process; he gets the glory.

We just have to be aware of what he’s giving us to use.

Sometimes he sends his resources through a conversation with a friend that we can then pass on to someone else. Or he wants us to pick them up through a book he’s made available for us to read. Or through an opportunity of serving someone else. And our Bibles are ready containers overflowing with riches to give out to others.

In his abounding, we’re the conduit, the vessels of his Holy Spirit.

He pours in; we pour out.

Is there any other religion like this one? Absolutely not. It’s crazy.

Only God is able.
Only God makes all grace.
Only God is all sufficient in all things at all times.
Only God.

And only through God can we abound in every good work.

Do you ever feel too empty to give out? I do. Only by his grace are we refilled to give again.

Let scripture memory be one way he refills you. Here are some of my favorites to memorize.

I love that pour in pour out image. I love that He provides for us not to horde but to bless others.

Blessings and love,
Debbie

Struck by "abound" in your verse. That he makes grace abound and then we, in turn, abound in every good work.
