What if your blessings come through raindrops?

What if hard things are really good things?
What if troubles are really triumphs?

This song addresses those questions in a beautiful way.

What if a thousand sleepless nights
Are what it takes to know You’re near?

LYRICS

We pray for blessings
We pray for peace
Comfort for family
Protection while we sleep

We pray for healing
For prosperity
We pray for Your mighty hand
To ease our suffering

And all the while
You hear each spoken need
Yet love is way too much to give us lesser things

CHORUS:
‘Cuz what if Your blessings come through raindrops
What if Your healing comes through tears
What if a thousand sleepless nights
Are what it takes to know You’re near
What if trials of this life
Are Your mercies in disguise?

We pray for wisdom
Your voice to hear
We cry in anger
When we cannot feel You near

We doubt Your goodness
We doubt Your love
As if every promise from Your Word is not enough

And all the while
You hear each desperate plea
And long that we’d have faith to believe

CHORUS

When friends betray us
When darkness seems to win
We know the pain reminds this heart
That this is not
This is not our home

CHORUS

What if my greatest disappointments
Or the aching of this life
Is the revealing of a greater thirst
This world can’t satisfy?

And what if trials of this life
The rain, the storms, the hardest nights
Are your mercies in disguise

Beautiful lyrics. So many times I pray, "Lord, I have no idea what I need; I just know that I need you. Whatever you want for me, that's what I want, whatever is best for me, that's what I want. Come what may" I just want God's will more than anything because to have something I want, if not best for me, is not something I want at all. Anyway. . .God definitely uses the raindrops and the teardrops. ~ Have a great weekend!

The little “Sings my Soul Saturdays made me smile.” His mercies are often in disguise. Amen. I am clay – he is potter. Yay. This was good to hear – and think about.

God Bless and keep you and your family Lisa
