Friday’s Fave Five

It’s already Friday again.
Look back over your week. What were some highlights?the chef

1. The chef
I’m glad my husband is back in town. That means the grill is officially reopened. Last night we had tilapia. Yummy.

2. Can you get that?
And because he’s the one who answers the phone the most when he’s home, I’m also glad he’s back to catch some of our phone calls.

3. A nap
I am NOT a day sleeper normally (I wish I were!) but I was so tired yesterday, that my Kindle and I fell asleep together in less than 5 minutes. What a treat! nap[I have to watch that sneaky Jenna—she snaps pictures anytime, anywhere.]

4. A happy visit with Nananana and jtWhen Jenna and I visited my mom Monday night, she seemed to be doing well. She was up, dressed, and eating. I’m extra thankful for that precious time since she was back in (and out of) the hospital early Tuesday morning and has been on another decline ever since.

5. Lunch with Karen
Now and again, things actually fall into place quickly and easily! Thankfully, Karen—my online-bloggy-turned-IN-PERSON-friend—and I seized the moment yesterday. I was so blessed getting to be with her. I love having spiritual friends from so many places.

* * *

What is something good that happened to you this week?

Glad to hear your DH arrived back home - chef and phone answerer - he's a keeper :)

Sorry to hear about your mom's decline - but thankful that you and your daughter had that good visit.

Lunch with friends - I have one planned for Monday - fun times and a blessing!

Happy weekend Lisa!

Glad to hear your helping hubby has arrived. It looks like a nice visit.

Seems we were both caught napping this week. Enjoy the weekend is here.

Mmm...those unexpected day naps with a book in your lap are the best!

Glad you had Monday and a great picture from that day, too. You're in my prayers.

I love getting my hubby home after a trip, too. Take care.

I love that picture of Jenna and Nana. I can definitely see a resemblance.

Unexpected naps are the greatest - but sneaky photographers may not be ...

Glad your hubby is back and grillin'. I just bought my first package of tilapia. I'm going to try it sometime this week.

Sorry to hear your mom is not doing well. She must be a wonderful mother, judging by your loving, diligent care for her at this time.

I enjoyed the visit to your blog (went back a few posts) .... I haven't been here for a few weeks, good to catch up. I loved your post on 'rest is in the waiting'.

I don't like to answer the phone either so my husband does that most of the time. But he does not cook ;)

Its nice when you can doze off a little like that.

Glad hubby is home! He is the chief griller here as well. And come to think of it -- he usually does answer the phone, too.

I love naps some days!

I am glad for the great visit with your mom. I am sorry to hear she is declining.

How wonderful to meet a good friend for lunch.

I'm glad that you were able to have some time with your mom when she was having a good day. I always consider those times with my mom, special gifts. Love your nap with the Kindle. I do that, too but I usually wake up when the Kindle hits me in the face. Have a great week.

I love that picture of your Mom and daughter. I'm sorry she's had a hard week and pray that it will improve for her.

I smiled when I read how your hubby is the one who answers the phone because mine avoids it like the plague. LOL.
