5 Favorites from Stream Franklin—Friday’s Fave Five

Friday's Fave Five at Living to Tell the Story  Despite the ice and snow, we arrived safely last Friday for a weekend of spiritual renewal in Tennessee.

I-65

We were all really thirsty for Stream, and the Lord satisfied.

Here are five favorites, among many, from Stream.

1. 5 Days of Preparation5 Days of PreparationFor five days leading up to the weekend, we had daily devotionals preparing our hearts for God’s word. Intentionally anticipating a powerful weekend helped me be more present and alert when we did arrive.

2. A new CD
Hallal_At the CrossHallal led us in worship with several new songs that are on their latest CD “At the Cross.”

Three of my favorites that we sang (and now I play in my car) are “Glory to God Forever,” “At the Cross,” and “His Love Is Strong.”

You can preview and purchase the CD here.

3. Sermon notes
Sermon notes Chris Seidman brought us 4 fantastic messages. I’m glad I took notes (even if they’re barely legible) so I can remind myself of specific insights Chris shared, as well as the overwhelming truth that because of the cross “I am free” and “It is finished.” Praise God!

4. Saturday & Sunday worship Sunday worship programThe songs and lessons and experiences were well-planned and Spirit-led, leading to a natural flow from one thing to the next. It made it easy to lose myself in worship and know Jesus’s presence was strong among us.

5. Praying with friends
Because of the adverse weather conditions, the whole event had to be compacted into two days instead of three. So the group that we were with ended up having our own “break-out” groups that were originally planned, but cancelled, with the body at large. They were good.

But especially sweet to me was our gathering in our hotel room Saturday night, sharing our needs with each other. And, one by one, talking to Father on behalf of each other. A taste of Heaven, if ever there was one.

I love your 'Fave 5' this week, especially since I got to experience them all, too. :) I'm still thanking God that we all got there and got home in one piece - but it was so worth it!

And for those commenting here that are interested in the CD, I just thought I'd post here that I found where you can get the Hallal "At the Cross" CD online -- www.cdbaby.com/cd/hallalmusic3

It sounds like it was an absolutely wonderful and sweet time! I really appreciate how they provided devotionals and worship music leading up to the conference to prepare you for it. That's a great idea and helps make it all the more meaningful.

Thanks for sharing! And have a great weekend (in hopefully more mild weather)!
