How much do you weigh?
And how do you know?
When the batteries get low on my digital scales, my weight varies. On Monday I was five pounds lighter than normal. I didn’t bother to change the batteries.
But today I was five pounds heavier. Definitely time for new batteries. Today!
What lies are you most apt to believe? If they flatter you, do you let them hang around longer?
No lie is beneficial.
Not just the uncomfortable ones that make us look bad. They’re no less dangerous than the handsome ones that make us feel better about ourselves.
Our salvation lies in believing Truth. The only truth. God’s truth.
When Elizabeth spoke inspired from the Spirit, she told Mary she was blessed for believing truth (Luke 1:45). Whatever the Lord speaks is truth.
What has the Lord said about you? About him? Read his word and find out.
Then believe it. The truth. Want to believe it.
There’s blessing in the believing.

That is one of my favorite Bible verses.
"No lie is beneficial." So true. We can be so easily deceived by the flattering ones.
Sincerity and truth are words of significance for me this year. Thank you, Lisa, for reminding us of the need to want to believe truth.
