And they said to him, “Do you hear what these are saying?”
And Jesus said to them, “Yes; have you never read, ‘Out of the mouth of infants and nursing babies you have prepared praise’?”
Matthew 21:16
The theological meaning may run deeper, but the surface meaning is clear:
God prepared humans from the get-go to acknowledge his glory.
Why does that praise seem to dry up from our mouths as we age?
Pride?
Laziness?
Doubts?
Do we think there could possibly be anyone or anything more worthy of our praise?
Lord,
Continue stripping us of our excuses and sins that hinder our natural expression of praise. Help us fulfill our instinctive inclination to worship you every day. . . because you are worthy.

Amen Lisa. He is worthy.
Everything we do can become an act of worship and thus worship can become deeper, more profound, as we age. I hope that happens in my life.
